We are excited to introduce our AFCP Nomadic Textile Conservation Exchange participants, specialists of nomadic textile preservation who will take on a month-long exchange in the U.S. in February, visiting museum and textile preservation organizations in DC, and NYC.
Dr. Erdenetsetseg Ravdanbat is a conservator and academic researcher at the Institute of Archaeology. Mr. Batjargal Erdene is a restorer of art painting at The National Center of Cultural Heritage. Dr. Munkhtogoo Dulamjav is the Museum exhibition and Collection Management’s senior curator at the National Museum of Mongolia. The specialists will learn ways to improve nomadic textiles preservation practices and apply them to their respective organizations. The program is funded by the U.S. Embassy - Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation.
