The ACMS library strives to offer its patrons access to digital collections specific to Mongolia and Inner Asia. The Internet has a wealth of digitally scanned primary and secondary resources, but often it is difficult to separate out items relevant to your own research from the millions of other items available online.
In this section there is a distinction made between two kinds of digital collections. The first kind is ACMS Digital Collections, which are digital collections that the ACMS has produced and internally hosts on its server. Currently the ACMS has completed two of these projects as well as making seminar and lecture videos available. The other kind is Virtual Collections, which are compilations of digital online primary and secondary resources such as scanned books, images, or audio files with full, partial, or snippet access. These items are free and open for public use, and because they are not produced by or hosted by the ACMS, they are referred to as virtual collections.
